Wakers and Sleepers


You might be surprised to know that what you eat may affect your sleep. Some foods are notorious for inducing insomnia. I call them wakers. So here is a list of 10 wakers:

1. Coffee
2. Caffeinated teas
3. Chocolate or cocoa
4. Caffeinated sodas
5. Spicy foods
6. Greasy foods
7. Tomatoes
8. Red Wine
9. Pepperoni/Sausage
10. Bacon

Some foods help foster a good night sleep . I call them sleepers. So here is a list of 10 sleepers:

1. Banana
2. Dairy
3. Almonds
4. Oatmeal
5. Whole grains
6. Beans
7. Lentils
8. Rice
9. Sunflower seeds
10. Hummus

Just remember that each metabolism is unique and therefore you need to pick and choose which sleepers fit you best. So, may you enjoy a restful sleep each time you go to bed!

  1. Excellent post! Before commenting, I tried for a couple of nights drinking a cup of chamomille tea mixed with lots of milk, ate a slice of bread and two handful of sunflower seeds. I slept the whole night. Tks.
