Recreational Pursuits

594px-Astronomy_Amateur_3_V2Interested in finding a hobby but do not know what it should be? A lot of us are searching for things we would love to do but can’t make up our mind. When we were young we had all these great ideas but as the years went by, we slowly let them go by the wayside.

A hobby is the pursuit of our own pleasure through an activity done regularly during our leisure time. Most of the times, a hobby is selected because this is what we want to do, but sometimes we may start a particular activity through someone’s suggestion and end up loving it. All we have to remember is that we do it for our own enjoyment to fill our moments of solitude. We are looking at the hobby at the amateur level so we remove ourselves from the competitive mind mode. Once again, we are doing this activity in order to bring us pure, healthy and peaceful solace.

So, here is a partial list of hobbies that might be of interest. Please do not limit yourselves. There are many more out there to choose from. I do admit that it was belsbror’s post Far out that inspired me to write Recreational Pursuits. So thanks belsbror 🙂

Our mind is so great and masterful that it allows us a view of many doors open at the same time so that we do not limit ourselves. Well, let us enter the world of recreational pursuits and meet our mind first-hand! Enjoy!
