One Early Morning Rise

I went to Countryside
One early morning rise
I walked among the trees
And heard the buzzing bees

They had me follow them
Yet they were on a stem
Simple magic it was
For I fell in a pause

A lake with a blue hue
Gave me a silent cue
So drowsy I fast got
I knew it was a plot

On the grass I laid down
Near the soil all too brown
Sleep took over my mind
And I dreamed of a find

I saw many mermaids
Combing each other’s braids
Laughter and joy in sound
Well worth their share in pounds
